Amad Diallo Set for New Long-Term Deal at Manchester United

Manchester United are close to finalizing a new long-term contract with Amad Diallo, with advanced talks in place, sources reveal. The 22-year-old Ivorian's current deal was set to expire at the end of the season, but United are moving quickly to secure his future by offering a fresh, long-term extension before the year’s end.

Diallo, who was once the subject of a hefty £37 million transfer fee, has come into his own this season, proving he’s worth every penny. After a productive loan spell at Sunderland last season, he’s become an integral part of United’s first team, having made 20 appearances already in the 2024-25 campaign. With three goals and five assists to his name, he’s shown significant improvement and has established himself as a regular in Ruben Amorim's side.

Under Amorim’s guidance, Diallo has thrived in the new manager’s system, featuring in all of the team's games since Amorim took charge. His rise has now put him in direct competition with fan-favorite Alejandro Garnacho for a starting role, signaling his rapid development.

Diallo’s contract situation comes amid a wider series of expiring deals at Old Trafford, with several key players’ contracts also nearing their end. But with Diallo continuing to grow in confidence and impact, securing his future at the club is clearly a priority for United as they look to build a squad with both youth and long-term potential under Amorim’s leadership.
